Key Stage 3

Year 7

Students begin their secondary journey with a broad curriculum that introduces key subjects and supports a smooth transition from primary school. Core subjects include English, mathematics and science, alongside geography, history, religious education, French, physical education, computing, art, music, drama, design technology and Learning for Life. Form tutors provide pastoral support and help students develop positive learning habits.

Year 8

In Year 8, students continue to build on their knowledge across all subjects, with increasing depth and challenge. Spanish is introduced alongside French, and students further develop skills in creative and practical subjects such as food and nutrition, textiles and computer science. Independent learning and personal development remain a focus through Learning for Life and tutor time.

Year 9

Year 9 provides a strong foundation for Key Stage 4. Students study a wide range of subjects including English, maths, science, geography, history, religious education, French, Spanish, physical education and Learning for Life. They also explore specialist subjects in greater depth such as art, drama, music, IT and computer science, design technology and food and nutrition. Independent learning skills are embedded across the curriculum, supported by form tutors.
