Key Stage 4
Year 10
Students begin Key Stage 4 by continuing with core subjects: English Language and Literature, mathematics, science (combined or triple), physical education, and Learning for Life (including PSHCE and careers education). In addition, students study four option subjects chosen in Year 9. These may include subjects such as business studies, engineering, media, photography, health and social care, religious studies, drama, music, computing, and hospitality and catering. All students take part in a week-long work experience placement to develop employability skills and explore career pathways.

They continue with their core and option subjects, with a strong focus on revision, exam technique and post-16 planning. Support is provided through careers guidance, Learning for Life sessions and targeted interventions. Students are encouraged to aim high and consider a range of progression routes including sixth form, college, apprenticeships or employment.
