Photography is a new GCSE course at NSSFC launching in September 2025. The course introduces students to digital photography as a creative and analytical discipline, combining technical control of DSLR cameras with personal investigation and sustained visual enquiry. Students develop the ability to capture, manipulate and present images purposefully, responding to themes such as natural forms, portraiture, documentary, fragmentation and photomontage. Core strands:
The curriculum is sequenced from foundational technical mastery in Year 10 through increasingly independent, concept-driven investigations in Year 11. Students move from structured experimentation to sustained, personal coursework and externally assessed work. |
Key Stage 3
